Things that make me smile: Freckles

I spent years as a child hating my freckles, but I adore freckle faces now and became very happy when I noticed a bunch of new ones on my face from getting more sun this summer.

Best quotes found on frecks:
“A girl without freckles is like a night without stars”

Beauty is only skin deep. But ah! me; freckles go to the bone.~Mark Twain

On the Night of Departure by Bus by Donald Justice

Tell me if you were not happy in those days.
You were not yet twenty-five
And you had not yet abandoned the guitar.

I swore to you by your nakedness that you were a guitar,
You swore to me by your nakedness that you were a guitar,
The moon swore to us both by your nakedness that you had
abandoned yourself completely.

Who would not go on living?

The typewriter will be glad to have become the poem,
the guitar to have been your body,
I too have had the luck to envy the sole of your shoe in the dead of
winter.

A passenger has lost his claim-check
The brunnette her barrette,
And I--I think that there are moths eating holes in my pockets,
That my place in line is evaporating,
That the moon is not the moon and the bus is not the bus.

What is the word for goodbye?

Lessons Learned

Give second chances freely, third ones carefully, fourth ones rarely, fifth ones never.

Work out every day--until something burns and your heart is racing.

Take a picture a day--there's always something worth remembering that you're likely to forget.

Talk to someone new every day--always something new to discover/learn.

The more selfish a person is, the less they are able to love anyone including themselves. One loves freely or not at all.
